Trends in NanoMed is delighted to announce that its Editor-in-Chief, Dr. José L. Arias from the University of Granada, has been ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists for 2024. Compiled by Prof. John P.A. Ioannidis from Stanford University in collaboration with Elsevier, this prestigious list celebrates the most influential researchers globally, acknowledging Dr. Arias’s remarkable contributions to the fields of nanomedicine and biomedical research.
The list honors the most influential scientists globally across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, based on rigorous evaluation of their research performance and citation metrics. The ranking is determined based on six key criteria, including total citations (with distinctions between self-citations and external citations), the Hirsch H-index, and the Schreiber Hm-index, adjusted for co-authorship. In addition, it considers contributions as a sole, first, or lead author to ensure a comprehensive evaluation of a researcher’s impact.
