EDITORIAL BOARD RESPONSIBILITIES
The Editorial Board of each journal is responsible for ensuring that the articles published in the journal meet the highest standards of academic rigor and are in line with the journal’s scope and mission.
Key responsibilities of the Editorial Board include:
Ensure Quality
The Editorial Board’s primary responsibility is to maintain the quality of the journal. This involves ensuring that manuscripts are evaluated fairly and thoroughly, and that the content published in the journal is accurate, relevant and timely.
Manage the Peer Review Process
The Editorial Board is responsible for overseeing the peer review process. This includes selecting appropriate reviewers, ensuring that the review process is conducted in a timely and efficient manner, and making decisions on whether to accept, reject, or request revisions to manuscripts based on the feedback from the reviewers.
Communicate with Authors
The Editorial Board is the primary point of contact between the journal and the authors. This involves communicating with authors throughout the submission and review process, providing guidance and feedback to authors to help them improve their manuscripts, and making decisions on whether to accept or reject manuscripts based on the feedback received from reviewers.
Ensure Compliance with Ethical Guidelines
The Editorial Board is responsible for ensuring that the journal follows ethical guidelines for scholarly publishing. This includes ensuring that all manuscripts are evaluated fairly and without bias, and that any potential conflicts of interest are disclosed and managed appropriately.
Manage the Publication Process
The Editorial Board is responsible for overseeing the production and publication of the journal. This includes ensuring that manuscripts are edited and formatted correctly, that the journal is published on time, and that any errors or corrections are addressed promptly.
Promote the Journal
The Editorial Board is responsible for promoting its journal and building its reputation within the academic community. This includes attending conferences and other events, networking with scholars and researchers, and using social media and other channels to promote the journal’s content and brand.
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Editor-in-Chief acts as an ambassador for the journal and Molecule.
The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for managing the editorial board, providing support and guidance and ensuring that all members are fulfilling their duties effectively.
